Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr), which rose 3.68% or 0.14 points to trade at 3.94 at the close. Dimand Societe Anonyme for Real Estate Constructions (AT:DIMANDr) added 3.61% or 0.30 points to end at 8.60 and Intracom Holdings SA (AT:INRr) was up 3.45% or 0.11 points to 3.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Athens Water (AT:EYDr), which lost 2.82% or 0.16 points to trade at 5.52 in late trade. Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) declined 2.60% or 0.01 points to end at 0.36 and J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr) shed 2.36% or 0.03 points to 1.41.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.50% or 11.75 to $2,342.95 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.19% or 0.15 to hit $80.88 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.24% or 0.20 to trade at $84.53 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.36% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 105.16.
