Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Retail, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry SA (AT:ELHA), which rose 5.88% or 0.085 points to trade at 1.530 at the close. Intracom Hold (AT:INRr) added 3.35% or 0.020 points to end at 0.617 and Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) was up 3.21% or 0.003 points to 0.100 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR), which lost 3.52% or 0.500 points to trade at 13.700 in late trade. K.L.M. (AT:KLUr) declined 2.40% or 0.016 points to end at 0.652 and European Reliance General Insurance Co SA (AT:EREr) shed 2.02% or 0.070 points to 3.400.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 51 to 48 and 15 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.03% or 0.40 to $1215.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.13% or 0.09 to hit $68.78 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.10% or 0.08 to trade at $76.58 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.33% to 1.1717, while EUR/GBP rose 0.38% to 0.9096.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 94.48.
