Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr), which rose 4.58% or 0.32 points to trade at 7.30 at the close. Lavipharm SA (AT:LPHr) added 3.61% or 0.03 points to end at 0.95 and Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR) was up 3.33% or 0.50 points to 15.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jumbo SA (AT:BABr), which lost 3.96% or 1.04 points to trade at 25.20 in late trade. Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr) declined 2.52% or 0.82 points to end at 31.68 and Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr) shed 2.45% or 0.07 points to 2.59.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 61 to 58 and 22 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.74% or 41.45 to $2,421.15 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.57% or 0.47 to hit $82.57 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.56% or 0.48 to trade at $85.56 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.44% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.67% at 104.03.
