Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Intralot (AT:INLr), which rose 3.09% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.27 at the close. Public Power (AT:DEHr) added 2.72% or 0.31 points to end at 11.71 and Greek Organisation of Football Prognostics SA (AT:OPAr) was up 2.67% or 0.40 points to 15.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included National Bank of Greece SA (AT:NBGr), which lost 1.62% or 0.13 points to trade at 7.89 in late trade. Petros Petropoulos SA (AT:PTRr) declined 1.37% or 0.12 points to end at 8.64 and Autohellas (AT:AUTr) shed 1.34% or 0.16 points to 11.76.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 63 to 57 and 19 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.07% or 1.60 to $2,365.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.06% or 0.05 to hit $82.28 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.16% or 0.14 to trade at $85.61 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 104.81.
