Investing.com - Gold futures were lower during the European session on Wednesday.
On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for August delivery traded at USD1222.20 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.12%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1219.30 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1213.50 and resistance at USD1227.80.
US Dollar Index Futures, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.05% to trade at USD94.38.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for September delivery fell 0.48% to trade at USD15.485 a troy ounce while Copper for September delivery fell 2.53% to trade at USD2.760 a pound.
