At the market open in London, the FTSE 100 Index fell 0.08%. The FTSE 250 Index and the FTSE 350 Index also dropped. The FTSE 250 dropped 0.05%, while the FTSE 350 was down by 0.14%.

- Vistry Group (LON:VTYV): Rose 1.78% or 16.00 points to 917.00.
- Barratt Developments (LON:BTRW): Climbed 1.12% or 5.10 points to 458.50.
- J Sainsbury (LON:SBRY): Dropped 4.17% or 12.00 points to 276.00.
- Croda International PLC (LON:CRDA): Fell 1.98% or 81.0 points to 4,004.0.
- Tesco (LON:TSCO): Declined 1.31% or 4.70 points to 354.70.
In Commodities Trading:
- Gold Futures for December delivery rose 30.75 points to 2,656.75 a troy ounce.
- Crude Oil for November delivery climbed 1.62 points to 74.86 a barrel.
- December Brent Oil Contract increased 2.39% or 1.83 points to 78.41 a barrel.
Currency Markets:
- GBP/USD is trading at 1.3051.
- EUR/GBP is at 0.8378.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 102.717.
Main Economic Events:
Today's economic calendar for the United Kingdom is busy with GDP and manufacturing data are being watched. Manufacturing production for the month of August read better than expected.
