At the market open in London, the FTSE 100 Index rose 0.70%. The FTSE 250 Index and the FTSE 350 Index also rose. The FTSE 250 increased 0.24%, while the FTSE 350 was up by 0.70%.
Kingfisher (LON:KGF): Climbed 6.92% or 20.10 points to 310.40.
Smurfit Westrock (LON:SWR): Rose 2.99% or 103.0 points to 3,548.0.
DS Smith (LON:SMDS): Increased 2.99% or 14.00 points to 481.80.
Compass (LON:CPG): Dropped 0.37% or 9.00 points to 2,451.00.
British American Tobacco (LON:BATS): Declined 0.20% or 6.0 points to 2,964.0.
Darktrace (LON:DARK): Fell 0.24% or 1.40 points to 583.40.
In Commodities Trading:
- Gold Futures for December delivery increased 2.30 points to 2,611.20 a troy ounce.
- Crude Oil for November delivery climbed 0.34 points to 69.36 a barrel.
- November Brent Oil Contract rose 0.33% or 0.24 points to 72.99 a barrel.
Currency Markets:
- GBP/USD is stable at 1.32.
- EUR/GBP is at 0.84.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 100.402.
