Investing.com – France equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Healthcare and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 0.24%, while the SBF 120 index lost 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CAC 40 were Engie SA (EPA:ENGIE), which rose 1.14% or 0.18 points to trade at 15.57 at the close. Veolia Environnement VE SA (EPA:VIE) added 0.82% or 0.24 points to end at 29.49 and TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF) was up 0.69% or 0.43 points to 62.41 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which lost 2.76% or 2.46 points to trade at 86.54 in late trade. Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI) declined 2.00% or 1.12 points to end at 54.96 and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:URW) shed 1.71% or 1.30 points to 74.72.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) which rose 2.93% to 6.54, SCOR SE (EPA:SCOR) which was up 2.80% to settle at 20.54 and Viridien SA (EPA:VIRI) which gained 1.89% to close at 33.41.
The worst performers were Solutions 30 SE (EPA:S30) which was down 6.59% to 1.22 in late trade, Emeis SA (EPA:EMEIS) which lost 4.20% to settle at 5.52 and Dassault Aviation SA (EPA:AM) which was down 3.65% to 184.80 at the close.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 285 to 199 and 110 ended unchanged on the Paris Stock Exchange.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.64% or 16.70 to $2,642.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 3.04% or 2.23 to hit $75.47 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 3.07% or 2.35 to trade at $78.93 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 102.71.
