Investing.com – France equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.41%, while the SBF 120 index gained 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CAC 40 were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which rose 3.47% or 3.39 points to trade at 101.05 at the close. Renault SA (EPA:RENA) added 2.27% or 0.87 points to end at 39.14 and STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STMPA) was up 1.96% or 0.50 points to 25.76 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:PERP), which lost 2.75% or 3.55 points to trade at 125.75 in late trade. Danone SA (EPA:DANO) declined 0.46% or 0.30 points to end at 65.08 and Credit Agricole SA (EPA:CAGR) shed 0.28% or 0.04 points to 14.24.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Emeis SA (EPA:EMEIS) which rose 6.68% to 7.17, Clariane SE (EPA:CLARI) which was up 6.14% to settle at 1.71 and Valeo SA (EPA:VLOF) which gained 5.23% to close at 9.42.
The worst performers were Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) which was down 14.38% to 7.21 in late trade, Valneva (EPA:VLS) which lost 10.45% to settle at 2.81 and Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:PERP) which was down 2.75% to 125.75 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 290 to 203 and 88 ended unchanged on the Paris Stock Exchange.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.20% or 30.85 to $2,611.45 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.45% or 0.31 to hit $69.28 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.43% or 0.31 to trade at $72.28 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 101.04.
