Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Utilities and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.77%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which rose 1.22% or 0.12 points to trade at 9.53 at the close. Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 0.91% or 0.12 points to end at 13.36 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 0.61% or 0.11 points to 17.45 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO), which lost 1.48% or 0.60 points to trade at 39.83 in late trade. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 1.36% or 0.48 points to end at 34.88 and Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT) shed 1.27% or 0.30 points to 23.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 123 to 48 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.69% or 0.50 to $72.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.91% or 0.62 to hit $68.99 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.21% or 32.56 to trade at $2,718.36 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.36% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.41% to 0.82.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 106.18.
