Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Financials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.73%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 3.32% or 0.56 points to trade at 17.42 at the close. Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) added 1.31% or 1.05 points to end at 80.95 and Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT) was up 0.81% or 0.22 points to 27.25 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which lost 4.32% or 2.04 points to trade at 45.12 in late trade. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 3.38% or 0.25 points to end at 7.16 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) shed 2.68% or 0.35 points to 12.55.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 118 to 46 and 23 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.05% or 0.04 to $86.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.26% or 0.22 to hit $83.16 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.23% or 5.35 to trade at $2,333.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 105.49.
