Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.66%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 0.76% or 0.038 points to trade at 5.010 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 0.71% or 0.070 points to end at 9.965 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 0.43% or 0.07 points to 16.29 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which lost 2.90% or 0.525 points to trade at 17.575 in late trade. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 2.09% or 0.38 points to end at 17.79 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) shed 2.04% or 1.44 points to 69.18.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 77 to 63 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.13% or 0.10 to $76.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.48% or 0.32 to hit $66.42 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.18% or 2.30 to trade at $1300.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.05% to 1.1778, while EUR/GBP fell 0.33% to 0.8780.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 93.59.
