Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 1.03% or 0.20 points to trade at 19.68 at the close. Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) added 0.78% or 0.40 points to end at 51.40 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 0.56% or 0.11 points to 19.88 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 4.88% or 0.1950 points to trade at 3.7970 in late trade. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 4.49% or 0.169 points to end at 3.591 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) shed 1.74% or 1.40 points to 79.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 97 to 46 and 22 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was down 2.73% or 1.71 to $61.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 2.68% or 1.45 to hit $52.59 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.15 to trade at $1282.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.01% to 1.1365, while EUR/GBP fell 0.54% to 0.8765.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 95.928.
