Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Utilities and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which rose 3.71% or 0.36 points to trade at 9.92 at the close. Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) added 1.66% or 0.18 points to end at 10.69 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was up 1.39% or 0.64 points to 46.72 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT), which lost 2.73% or 0.67 points to trade at 23.91 in late trade. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 2.39% or 0.46 points to end at 18.58 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) shed 2.29% or 1.40 points to 59.65.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 101 to 59 and 26 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.29% or 0.21 to $72.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.23% or 0.16 to hit $69.36 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.46% or 11.60 to trade at $2,537.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.13% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 101.13.
