Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 0.97% or 0.04 points to trade at 4.26 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) added 0.94% or 0.17 points to end at 17.66 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) was up 0.68% or 0.27 points to 39.71 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB), which lost 4.38% or 0.84 points to trade at 18.32 in late trade. TietoEVRY Corp (HE:TIETO) declined 3.15% or 0.55 points to end at 16.92 and Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) shed 2.41% or 0.31 points to 12.34.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 131 to 41 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.93% or 0.69 to $73.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.59% or 1.13 to hit $70.16 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 5.39 to trade at $2,670.41 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.43% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 106.54.
