Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which rose 3.64% or 0.137 points to trade at 3.905 at the close. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) added 2.02% or 0.58 points to end at 29.26 and YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) was up 1.70% or 0.09 points to 5.09 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which lost 2.68% or 0.235 points to trade at 8.530 in late trade. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 1.99% or 0.280 points to end at 13.800 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) shed 1.85% or 0.74 points to 39.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 76 to 67 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.33% or 0.24 to $72.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.66% or 0.45 to hit $67.81 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.68% or 8.40 to trade at $1222.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.23% to 1.1694, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.8929.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 94.41.
