Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.96%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 4.90% or 0.344 points to trade at 7.362 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) added 4.78% or 0.32 points to end at 6.91 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 4.74% or 2.58 points to 57.02 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which lost 10.50% or 3.21 points to trade at 27.35 in late trade. KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) declined 0.85% or 0.38 points to end at 44.30 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) shed 0.34% or 0.06 points to 17.34.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 128 to 26 and 3 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 2.20% or 1.47 to $65.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 2.76% or 1.75 to hit $61.64 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.66% or 8.80 to trade at $1320.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.85% to 1.2271, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8848.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.69% at 90.14.
