Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.39% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 16.83% or 9.06 points to trade at 62.90 at the close. Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) added 7.75% or 3.42 points to end at 47.56 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was up 5.36% or 1.52 points to 29.86 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 12.56% or 0.7600 points to trade at 5.2900 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) declined 10.51% or 0.70 points to end at 5.96 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) shed 7.67% or 2.01 points to 24.18.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 76 to 72 and 10 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was up 0.59% or 0.44 to $74.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $68.02 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.33% or 4.40 to trade at $1318.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.37% to 1.2116, while EUR/GBP fell 0.34% to 0.8700.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 91.30.
