Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 10.47% or 6.96 points to trade at 73.44 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 5.97% or 2.06 points to end at 36.56 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was up 4.83% or 1.96 points to 42.56 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 36.75% or 1.780 points to trade at 3.063 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) declined 9.06% or 0.45 points to end at 4.56 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) shed 7.08% or 0.2840 points to 3.7270.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 87 to 63 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.60% or 0.46 to $77.35 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.33% or 0.22 to hit $67.55 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.94% or 11.60 to trade at $1240.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.32% to 1.1410, while EUR/GBP rose 0.16% to 0.8888.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 96.09.
