Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 3.37% or 0.11 points to trade at 3.47 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 3.16% or 0.34 points to end at 11.10 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was up 2.88% or 0.18 points to 6.26 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which lost 1.50% or 0.16 points to trade at 10.50 in late trade. Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) declined 0.84% or 0.75 points to end at 89.05 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) shed 0.32% or 0.15 points to 47.04.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 107 to 58 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.61% or 1.18 to $74.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.61% or 1.13 to hit $71.50 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.57% or 15.10 to trade at $2,667.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.35% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 100.33.
