Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 6.71% or 0.3620 points to trade at 5.7580 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) added 3.10% or 0.56 points to end at 18.64 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 2.96% or 1.30 points to 45.16 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 1.80% or 0.144 points to trade at 7.838 in late trade. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 69.62 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) gained 0.16% or 0.08 points to 50.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 111 to 42 and 10 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.97% or 0.75 to $76.81 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.81% or 0.54 to hit $66.50 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.32% or 4.10 to trade at $1296.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.1673, while EUR/GBP fell 0.61% to 0.8740.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 94.09.
