Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA), which rose 13.99% or 7.35 points to trade at 59.90 at the close. Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 4.94% or 0.90 points to end at 19.01 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 4.04% or 1.74 points to 44.82 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which lost 1.42% or 0.17 points to trade at 11.45 in late trade. Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT) declined 1.14% or 0.30 points to end at 26.07 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) shed 0.71% or 0.05 points to 6.99.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 104 to 63 and 22 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 1.76% or 1.45 to $80.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.67% or 1.31 to hit $76.97 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.30% or 30.70 to trade at $2,384.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 104.07.
