Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.89% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YIT), which rose 2.73% or 0.14 points to trade at 5.27 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) added 2.52% or 0.45 points to end at 18.07 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 2.09% or 0.69 points to 33.69 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Valmt (HE:VALMT), which lost 0.63% or 0.10 points to trade at 15.89 in late trade. Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) declined 0.38% or 0.17 points to end at 44.18 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) shed 0.15% or 0.05 points to 34.43.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 94 to 50 and 12 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 2.28% or 1.74 to $74.43 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.84% or 2.01 to hit $68.72 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1314.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.33% to 1.1884, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.8768.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 92.84.
