Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.78% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 2.50% or 0.42 points to trade at 17.24 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 2.11% or 0.14 points to end at 6.54 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 2.08% or 1.02 points to 49.96 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 1.55% or 0.84 points to trade at 53.38 in late trade. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 0.69% or 0.22 points to end at 31.73 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) shed 0.62% or 0.14 points to 22.57.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 101 to 47 and 11 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.21% or 0.14 to $67.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.62% or 0.38 to hit $62.01 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 2.00 to trade at $1320.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.44% to 1.2069, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.8911.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 91.63.
