Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.78% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 2.31% or 0.108 points to trade at 4.793 at the close. Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) added 1.82% or 0.070 points to end at 3.925 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 1.61% or 0.230 points to 14.490 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 1.65% or 1.02 points to trade at 60.74 in late trade. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 0.29% or 0.10 points to end at 34.89 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) shed 0.12% or 0.06 points to 48.18.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 71 to 67 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was up 0.55% or 0.37 to $67.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.68% or 0.43 to hit $63.98 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 2.10 to trade at $1332.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.2301, while EUR/GBP rose 0.10% to 0.8814.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 89.86.
