Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YIT), which rose 2.96% or 0.17 points to trade at 5.75 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 2.78% or 0.1060 points to end at 3.9180 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 2.66% or 2.10 points to 81.02 in late trade.
Biggest losers included KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which lost 3.65% or 1.62 points to trade at 42.73 in late trade. DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) declined 1.23% or 0.2300 points to end at 18.4800 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) shed 1.06% or 0.21 points to 19.58.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 92 to 61 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.23% or 0.14 to $61.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.14% or 0.60 to hit $53.22 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.35% or 4.55 to trade at $1279.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.68% to 1.1303, while EUR/GBP fell 0.29% to 0.8681.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 96.317.
