Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.59%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA), which rose 3.74% or 1.31 points to trade at 36.30 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 2.99% or 0.52 points to end at 17.94 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 1.56% or 0.120 points to 7.800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which lost 2.28% or 0.190 points to trade at 8.130 in late trade. Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) declined 1.41% or 0.055 points to end at 3.857 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) shed 0.75% or 0.27 points to 35.79.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 73 to 60 and 25 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was up 2.03% or 1.34 to $67.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 2.25% or 1.40 to hit $63.53 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.42% or 5.50 to trade at $1312.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.62% to 1.2260, while EUR/GBP fell 0.49% to 0.8753.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.48% at 89.90.
