Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.47%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 2.47% or 0.10 points to trade at 4.10 at the close. Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) added 1.79% or 0.19 points to end at 11.10 and TietoEVRY Corp (HE:TIETO) was up 1.34% or 0.23 points to 17.34 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 2.33% or 0.32 points to trade at 13.22 in late trade. Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) declined 2.21% or 0.22 points to end at 9.51 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) shed 0.92% or 0.46 points to 49.54.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 86 to 83 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $72.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $68.51 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.67% or 17.89 to trade at $2,658.31 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.59% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.16% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 105.83.
