Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 2.88% or 0.405 points to trade at 14.485 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 1.65% or 0.130 points to end at 7.990 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was up 1.53% or 0.063 points to 4.186 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which lost 1.82% or 0.68 points to trade at 36.73 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) declined 1.03% or 0.06 points to end at 5.78 and DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) shed 0.94% or 0.1600 points to 16.9100.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 85 to 47 and 28 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.25% or 0.18 to $73.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.83% or 0.57 to hit $68.39 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.33% or 4.00 to trade at $1224.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.04% to 1.1590, while EUR/GBP rose 0.02% to 0.8903.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 94.89.
