Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 3.19% or 0.33 points to trade at 10.68 at the close. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) added 2.74% or 0.77 points to end at 28.91 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 2.07% or 1.13 points to 55.84 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA), which lost 5.98% or 3.95 points to trade at 62.05 in late trade. TietoEVRY Corp (HE:TIETO) declined 5.97% or 1.13 points to end at 17.79 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) shed 5.50% or 2.57 points to 44.15.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 86 to 77 and 24 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.99% or 1.48 to $75.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.04% or 1.43 to hit $71.62 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.04% or 1.20 to trade at $2,750.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 104.04.
