Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.37% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which rose 3.33% or 0.31 points to trade at 9.47 at the close. Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT) added 1.84% or 0.47 points to end at 25.95 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 1.39% or 0.16 points to 11.69 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 3.16% or 0.69 points to trade at 21.15 in late trade. Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) declined 0.49% or 0.09 points to end at 18.29 and Mandatum Oyj (HE:MANTA) shed 0.35% or 0.02 points to 4.28.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 103 to 65 and 22 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 1.95% or 1.54 to $77.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.44% or 1.85 to hit $74.06 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.00% or 25.65 to trade at $2,534.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 101.58.
