Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 5.72% or 2.27 points to trade at 41.99 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 1.10% or 0.070 points to end at 6.460 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) was up 0.97% or 0.42 points to 43.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA), which lost 1.78% or 0.66 points to trade at 36.47 in late trade. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 1.49% or 0.74 points to end at 48.90 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) shed 1.39% or 0.50 points to 35.58.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 72 to 59 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.24% or 0.66 to $54.04 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.11% or 0.54 to hit $49.20 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 1.59 to trade at $1342.91 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.15% to 1.1931, while EUR/GBP fell 0.05% to 0.9136.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 92.08.
