Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM), which rose 1.51% or 0.47 points to trade at 31.50 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 1.43% or 0.245 points to end at 17.400 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 1.13% or 0.76 points to 68.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which lost 0.91% or 0.34 points to trade at 36.82 in late trade. KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) declined 0.87% or 0.36 points to end at 41.03 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) shed 0.80% or 0.36 points to 44.92.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 76 to 63 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.72% or 0.56 to $78.79 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.31% or 0.22 to hit $70.74 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.98% or 26.10 to trade at $1292.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.47% to 1.1871, while EUR/GBP fell 0.20% to 0.8782.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 92.95.
