Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 2.73% or 0.17 points to trade at 6.21 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 2.39% or 0.1750 points to end at 7.5100 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was up 1.92% or 0.73 points to 38.73 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which lost 3.67% or 1.27 points to trade at 33.32 in late trade. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 1.17% or 0.43 points to end at 36.19 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) shed 1.06% or 0.32 points to 29.98.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 75 to 71 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 1.67% or 1.06 to $64.46 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.65% or 0.37 to hit $57.73 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.40 to trade at $1247.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.1793, while EUR/GBP rose 0.44% to 0.8831.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 93.80.
