Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 2.00% or 1.00 points to trade at 51.00 at the close. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) added 1.63% or 0.62 points to end at 38.55 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 1.34% or 0.090 points to 6.825 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which lost 1.80% or 0.62 points to trade at 33.81 in late trade. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 1.49% or 0.55 points to end at 36.45 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) shed 1.36% or 0.1050 points to 7.5950.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 88 to 59 and 9 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.40% or 0.25 to $62.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.57% or 0.32 to hit $56.74 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.62% or 7.95 to trade at $1283.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.03% to 1.1736, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.8868.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 93.91.
