Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.04% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 2.44% or 0.160 points to trade at 6.730 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 2.21% or 0.86 points to end at 39.84 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 2.08% or 0.33 points to 16.22 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 2.11% or 0.80 points to trade at 37.10 in late trade. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) declined 1.80% or 0.49 points to end at 26.66 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) shed 1.17% or 0.060 points to 5.055.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 71 to 66 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.41% or 0.23 to $55.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.87% or 0.44 to hit $49.98 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.41 to trade at $1276.49 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.15% to 1.1762, while EUR/GBP fell 0.12% to 0.8862.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 93.29.
