Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA), which rose 2.03% or 0.44 points to trade at 22.14 at the close. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) added 1.05% or 0.65 points to end at 62.60 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 0.61% or 0.02 points to 3.79 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 1.33% or 0.05 points to trade at 3.33 in late trade. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 1.21% or 0.11 points to end at 9.13 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) shed 0.52% or 0.06 points to 11.49.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 90 to 69 and 29 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.95% or 0.75 to $77.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.91% or 0.69 to hit $74.84 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.47% or 12.05 to trade at $2,540.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.53% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 100.90.
