Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) and Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH), the two most valued cryptocurrencies in the world, traded lower on Wednesday as investors are awaiting the interest-rate decision from the US Federal Reserve.
Dogecoin (CRYPTO: DOGE), meanwhile, recorded sharp losses on Wednesday following gains on Tuesday after Elon Musk disclosed that he is the Chief Executive Officer of post-merger company after Twitter deal. Dogecoin fell 7.7% to $0.1293 on Wednesday.
Litecoin (CRYPTO: LTC) was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while Chain (CRYPTO: XCN) turned out to be the biggest loser.
At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap fell to $1.01 trillion, recording a 24-hour decline of 1.5%. BTC was trading lower by 0.7% at $20,415, while ETH fell by around 2.3% to $1,556 on Wednesday.
