Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Personal & Household Goods and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.55% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NSISb), which rose 1.30% or 5.40 points to trade at 422.00 at the close. NKT Holding (CSE:NKT) added 1.19% or 6.00 points to end at 509.50 and Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) was up 1.11% or 14.00 points to 1,276.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which lost 2.50% or 2.50 points to trade at 98.30 in late trade. Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED) declined 2.11% or 7.60 points to end at 353.00 and Genmab (CSE:GMAB) shed 1.32% or 20.50 points to 1,536.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 67 to 65 and 20 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.50% or 1.03 to $69.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.12% or 0.81 to hit $73.00 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.23% or 33.39 to trade at $2,751.79 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.34% to 7.11, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 106.36.
