Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Investment, Financials and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.68% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which rose 1.83% or 0.4 points to trade at 22.2 at the close. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) added 0.73% or 440.0 points to end at 60640.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) was up 0.23% or 10.0 points to 4340.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupoaval (CN:GAA), which lost 2.05% or 25.0 points to trade at 1195.0 in late trade. Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) declined 2.01% or 400.0 points to end at 19500.0 and Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) shed 1.58% or 620.0 points to 38680.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 4 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.27% or 0.39 to $143.12 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 0.67% or 13.50 to hit $1988.00 , while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 4.90 to trade at $1241.00 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.35% to 2855.45, while BRL/COP rose 0.51% to 916.59.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 100.25.
