Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Services, Public Services and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 2.37% or 85.0 points to trade at 3675.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 1.71% or 170.0 points to end at 10120.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) was up 1.21% or 140.0 points to 11720.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which lost 1.98% or 220.0 points to trade at 10880.0 in late trade. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) declined 1.73% or 1060.0 points to end at 60240.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) shed 1.65% or 20.0 points to 1190.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 12 to 7 and 10 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.44% or 0.63 to $144.25 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 0.15% or 3.50 to hit $2270.00 , while the February Gold contract fell 0.02% or 0.25 to trade at $1133.35 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.36% to 2995.00, while BRL/COP rose 1.16% to 899.94.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.25% at 103.00.
