Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Services, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 2.52% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which rose 0.47% or 40.0 points to trade at 8620.0 at the close. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) added 0.40% or 0.1 points to end at 25.1 and Empresa de Energia de Bogota SA ESP (CN:EEB) was unchanged 0% or 0 points to 2030.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which lost 4.56% or 120.0 points to trade at 2510.0 in late trade. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) declined 4.25% or 1340.0 points to end at 30160.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) shed 4.17% or 840.0 points to 19320.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 1 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was up 1.60% or 1.95 to $123.92 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 2.21% or 49.00 to hit $2261.50 , while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1318.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.47% to 2879.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.28% to 885.35.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 90.26.
