Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 1.17% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Conconcret (CN:CIC), which rose 7.14% or 20.0 points to trade at 300.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 2.27% or 200.0 points to end at 9000.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 0.54% or 20.0 points to 3705.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Etb (CN:ETB), which lost 3.01% or 8.0 points to trade at 258.0 in late trade. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) declined 2.39% or 720.0 points to end at 29400.0 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) shed 1.69% or 240.0 points to 13960.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 3 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 0.79% or 0.95 to $121.20 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 3.46% or 74.00 to hit $2211.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 6.60 to trade at $1234.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.04% to 3167.15, while BRL/COP rose 1.64% to 854.92.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 96.36.
