Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 1.08% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Etb (CN:ETB), which rose 6.51% or 17.0 points to trade at 278.0 at the close. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) added 5.79% or 320.0 points to end at 5850.0 and Conconcret (CN:CIC) was up 3.45% or 10.0 points to 300.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which lost 3.98% or 125.0 points to trade at 3015.0 in late trade. Grupoaval (CN:GAA) declined 2.83% or 30.0 points to end at 1030.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) shed 2.72% or 280.0 points to 10000.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 10 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 3.09% or 3.55 to $111.35 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 3.11% or 68.00 to hit $2122.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 4.60 to trade at $1223.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.12% to 3228.75, while BRL/COP rose 0.45% to 843.08.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 96.847.
