Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 1.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Energia Bogota SA ESP (BVC:GEB), which rose 2.20% or 55.00 points to trade at 2,550.00 at the close. Banco Davivienda Pf (BVC:DVI_p) added 2.17% or 400.00 points to end at 18,800.00 and Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC:SIS_p) was up 2.06% or 420.00 points to 20,800.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Promigas (BVC:PMG), which lost 0.65% or 50.00 points to trade at 7,700.00 in late trade. Organizacion Terpel SA (BVC:TPL) declined 0.58% or 60.00 points to end at 10,240.00 and Banco De Bogota SA (BVC:BBO) shed 0.22% or 60.00 points to 27,640.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 0.30% or 0.80 to $268.60 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 1.42% or 111.50 to hit $7,978.50 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 4.40 to trade at $2,681.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.02% to 4,200.75, while BRL/COP rose 0.79% to 767.27.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.48% at 100.64.
