Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Investment, Financials and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.83% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which rose 1.51% or 80.0 points to trade at 5380.0 at the close. Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) added 0.45% or 5.0 points to end at 1125.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 0.38% or 15.0 points to 3965.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Promigas (CN:PMG), which lost 9.56% or 610.0 points to trade at 5770.0 in late trade. Interconnection Electric SA ESP (CN:ISA) declined 4.69% or 600.0 points to end at 12200.0 and Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) shed 4.10% or 1340.0 points to 31340.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 5 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 3.56% or 4.35 to $117.75 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 1.97% or 42.50 to hit $2204.50 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 1.60 to trade at $1225.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.24% to 3085.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.85% to 836.76.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 95.76.
