Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.80%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 1.79% or 55.0 points to trade at 3130.0 at the close. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) added 0.60% or 80.0 points to end at 13360.0 and Empresa de Energia de Bogota SA ESP (CN:EEB) was up 0.55% or 10.0 points to 1840.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which lost 3.15% or 190.0 points to trade at 5850.0 in late trade. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) declined 2.92% or 520.0 points to end at 17280.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) shed 2.51% or 50.0 points to 1940.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 6 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 2.21% or 2.45 to $113.40 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 0.80% or 17.00 to hit $2139.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.78% or 9.60 to trade at $1219.10 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.27% to 3253.20, while BRL/COP rose 1.70% to 838.96.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 97.295.
