Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Agriculture sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.65%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which rose 2.39% or 140.0 points to trade at 5990.0 at the close. Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) added 1.87% or 440.0 points to end at 23940.0 and Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) was up 1.83% or 580.0 points to 32300.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI), which lost 3.64% or 480.0 points to trade at 12700.0 in late trade. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) declined 2.87% or 90.0 points to end at 3050.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) shed 1.50% or 900.0 points to 59000.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 11 to 9 and 7 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.44% or 0.50 to $113.80 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 0.93% or 20.00 to hit $2125.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 7.90 to trade at $1227.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.96% to 3284.40, while BRL/COP rose 1.59% to 852.40.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.60% at 96.695.
