Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.56%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC:SIS), which rose 6.17% or 2,220.00 points to trade at 38,220.00 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO) added 3.77% or 60.00 points to end at 1,650.00 and Grupo Argos SA Pref (BVC:ARG_p) was up 3.32% or 440.00 points to 13,680.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Bolivar SA (BVC:SCA), which lost 2.45% or 1,480.00 points to trade at 58,820.00 in late trade. Banco Davivienda Pf (BVC:DVI_p) declined 1.74% or 320.00 points to end at 18,080.00 and Celsia SA (BVC:CEL) shed 1.48% or 55.00 points to 3,660.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 3.43% or 9.03 to $272.13 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 3.73% or 285.00 to hit $7,926.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.97% or 25.35 to trade at $2,580.95 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.96% to 4,479.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.09% to 771.36.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 106.39.
