Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.53% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Promigas (BVC:PMG), which rose 3.04% or 230.00 points to trade at 7,800.00 at the close. Cementos Argos SA (BVC:CCB) added 1.94% or 190.00 points to end at 9,980.00 and Organizacion Terpel SA (BVC:TPL) was up 1.62% or 180.00 points to 11,280.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:NCH), which lost 9.37% or 7,400.00 points to trade at 71,600.00 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE) declined 2.26% or 260.00 points to end at 11,240.00 and Interconnection Electric SA ESP (BVC:ISA) shed 1.67% or 280.00 points to 16,500.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 2.83% or 9.18 to $334.13 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 7.49% or 881.00 to hit $12,646.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 2.23% or 59.39 to trade at $2,602.61 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.63% to 4,373.09, while BRL/COP fell 2.35% to 695.07.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.10% at 107.84.
